Summary
This chapter deals with planning application appeals in England, and in relation to the normal planning control regime, excluding, for example, major infrastructure projects. It covers the vast majority of appeals by number with which chartered surveyors are concerned, including what decisions can be appealed and by who, time limits, starting and preparing for an appeal, gathering evidence, types of procedures, decisions, challenging decisions, withdrawal and costs. Information on enforcement appeals is contained within the Planning Enforcement section.
This section is maintained by Richard Honey of Francis Taylor Building, Temple.
